Call for Applications

for Emergent Researchers in Primary Science

Recognition for Excellence in Research on IBSE Certificate

Deadline for submission of application: 5th June  2014

PRI-SCI-NET is inviting emergent researchers of all ages: those who are doing a post-doc, have just completed and/or are doing their doctorate, or have completed their masters and have been involved in research in science education at primary/pre secondary level to apply for the Certificate of Excellence in Research on Inquiry-based learning in Science Education.

The aims of this Certificate is to attract and provide support to those emerging teachers and researchers interested in researching how children learn science and to provide a platform through which they can grow into researchers. This is an investment that the Pri-Sci-Net project is making in supporting a supply of future primary science education researchers who would be able to take forward the effort made to make primary science a knowledge domain in its own right.

The best 5 applications chosen will be supported financially to attend the Pri-Sci-Net international conference in Malta to be held 16-18th July 2014.  They will also be given a keynote presentation at the conference as well as commit to submit a paper to the Journal Inquiry in Primary Science (IPSE) http://prisci.net/IPSE

PRI-SCI-NET is an EU funded project with the aim of promoting Inquiry-based (IBSE) learning in Science. The project is coordinated by the Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST) in Malta and has 17 partners from 14 countries.
