The Pri-Sci-Net project is organising its first International Training Course in Usti-Nad Labem, the Czech Republic from the 28th of January to the 1st of February 2013. Pri-Sci-Net is an FP7 funded project within Science in Society which promotes inquiry-based learning in science education (IBSE) at primary level. Pri-Sci-Net brings together a group of science educators from all over Europe specialising in primary science education to develop together 45 inquiry-based activities for children between the ages of 3 and 11 years. To make these activities accessible to teachers, they will be available in 15 different languages and teachers can download them for free.

The International training course being organised targets primary teachers who are interested to learn more about teaching science to older primary level students. The training course will tackle inquiry-based learning and what type of teaching and learning processes are to be utilised in the classroom. It will then offer specific subject content training in several areas of the primary curriculum. Participants will also be helped to become members and upload their work on the Pri-Sci-Net virtual platform for inquiry-based learning in primary science. In addition, the participation of different nationalities will bring with it a mixture of ideas which will promote a creative training atmosphere with a European Spirit.
