Pri-Sci-Net is offering financial support to primary teachers and teacher educators the possibility to attend the project’s third International Training Course in Salzburg, Austria on informal and non-formal learning in IBSE.
This training program is intended to support teachers and teacher-trainers to engage and guide students to develop independent learning and critical thinking skills, positive attitudes and curiosity towards science. The teacher is hence invited to scaffold the learning process whilst allowing the student to experiment, verify and reflect on different science concepts. The training offers different ways of implementing inquiry in the primary science classroom and outside of the school. The training methodologies are a mix of theory, hands-on, interactive sessions.
The training course is of interest to primary school teachers, teacher trainers, primary science coordinator, IBSE experts-researchers, educational stakeholders and all other professionals who have a role of supporting primary teachers in the teaching of science at primary level of education. Those selected for financial support will have their travel from their country of origin to the training venue and return covered by the project and will receive a daily per deim allowance to cover all other expenses as meals, accommodation and sundry costs. Insurance is also covered. There is no cost for participation in the training. PRI-SCI-NET can only fund 15 International delegates
The deadline for application is 20th December 2013. Late applications will not be considered.
