International Training Course in Salzburg

The Pri-Sci-Net project is organising a third International Training Course in Salzburg, Austria, from the 17th of February 2014 to the 19th of February 2014, on informal and non-formal learning in IBSE.

This training program is intended to support teachers and teacher-trainers to engage and guide students to develop independent learning and critical thinking skills, positive attitudes and curiosity towards science. The training will include theoretic parts on the successful implementation methods of IBSE, organization of science fairs, IBSE through science museum visits etc. 

Target Audience

The training course is of interest to primary teachers, teacher-trainers, primary science coordinators and all other professionals who have a role of supporting primary teachers in the teaching of science at primary level of education.The course is limited to 30 participants and preference will be given to those who demonstrate a multiplier effect where they can share the training received with other teachers in their country. Applications received will be evaluated according to the criteria set.


The training course is being offered free of charge. PRI-SCI-NET will fund the travel and accomodation of a number of participants. Other participants will have to cover their own travel and accommodation. A separate call for financial support will be issued.
